Radish Cake

It had been a long time I didn't log in to my blog...

And today is the time...hehe...
I bought a radish from market yesterday and thought of cooking Radish Cake, as it's a MUST dish when I went for Dim Sum.

Preparing a Radish Cake is actually quite easy.

1. We need some shallots and dried Prawn and of cos the most important- RADISH.

2. Heat up some oil in the wok, add in shallots until fragrant, then add in dried prawn, continue to stir fry till the aroma is out. And lastly, add in the Radish...

3. When the radish is cooked, add in some salt, sugar, pepper, oyster sauce, chicken stocks to taste.

4. Stir in the batter (Mixture of Rice Flour, Wheat Starch with water) into the radish; keep on stirring till the mixture become sticky.

4. Lastly, pour the mixture into a tray, and steam it for 45- 60 minutes.

5. When cold, cut into serving pieces and served.

Easy right? You can either eat it by just adding some fried shallots on top, with soy sauce and chili sauce, or you can pan fried it till crispy....

Facebook is blocked!

It is so sad when MIS department block FACEBOOK. I can't access to Facebook during working hour anymore....

This make the working hour pass slowly everyday...haih..so BORING!!!

Why the FB is being blocked??? Because of some colleagues had been using Facebook like no body business in the office. It is because some colleagues playing games and cause the internet connection become very slow.......

And now, the whole company can't access to FB!!!!!!!

My penang home

This is my living room tv cabinet....miss the time I watch movie with hubby....

This is my guest room, for my parents & my friends that visit me in Penang....

My study room, the sofa bed is to standby if I have more guest... :)

MY study room cabinet, I still got lots of books in KL, & the cabinet is actually quite full d....

I will be moving to Penang permanently in March/ April this year...n I will be missing my beloved family members, friends in KL...

But I cant wait to move there too cos I miss my house & my hubby so much....

My dear friend, dun forget to visit me in Penang if you have holiday .... We will always welcome you! :)

My 1st ROM Anniversary...& I received a bouquet of flower from my hubby...haha..
really suprise me.. :)

My husband asked which day I want to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Then I said dunno o....Then he is the one that decide to celebrate our actual wedding day...which is 21 November.

Suprise me, early in the morning, he waked me up & asked me to open the door...mmm?
I told he is here,so quickly I went down to open the door. But no one there, then I saw a red car stop.

His sister handed me the flower; suprise me alot as I forgot is our anniversary.. haha..

17/12/09 morning, Calley told me from 11am- 1pm got FREE coffee from STARBUCKS....

mmm...coffee addict- ME... thinking of the coffee

12pm- I went out to Guardian to buy some personal stuff. while on the way back, I pass by STARBUCKS..n there is a parking lot! Yahoo....

Straight away i parked Kenny car n Q up for coffee...

Hehe..manage to get 4 cups of black coffee...

Thanks alot for Kenny car...without his car, I cant get the free coffee..Offer Kenny the coffee, & realize that he dun take coffee...

So, shared with Calley, Ethan & KK Tan...

结婚是为了什么？是为了踏入人生的另一个阶段吧。。
还是为了和他天天在一起？为了能陪着他让他也能陪着我？
为了有个真正属于自己的家?
责任？习惯？

人家说，结婚是很开心的事。。但是我为何都开心不起呢？
我觉得结婚是在破坏彼此的感情，为了筹备婚礼，和他吵了很多次。
我们是不了解对方呢，还是不适合在一起？两人都为对方付出了很多，
但为何对方都不感激，不感动呢？
是因为我们都单方面的付出吧！我们都用自己的方式爱对方；
但是又有谁去在意，其实对方喜欢吗。。
对方要的是什么，我们又有去了解吗?

我想笑，却笑得不开心，我一直以来都是开心果，最近却闷闷不乐呢？
都是结婚的问题吧！

我只希望婚后的生活，会回到以前那样，甜甜蜜蜜的。。。
哎。。爱的学问，是要自己摸索的。。
为爱加油吧！！！

快樂製造機

一位朋友email了这个故事给我，读了还蛮喜欢的，真是小故事，大启示。。

前幾天到內湖聽一場演講，讓我印象最深刻的是主講者朱平先生，分享如何讓自己做個「快樂製造機」，他談到他每天早晨都會去逛傳統市場，每天都會製造一些快樂給賣菜的老闆們。

比如他買了23元的菜，拿30元給老闆，說「老闆，23元算25元，找我5元就好。」這些老闆們反應大致上有四種反應──

第一種：起初非常驚訝，之後非常開心地找了5元，說謝謝。

第二種：老闆堅持找7元，不佔客戶便宜，但老闆很開心。

第三種：是多送點蔥蒜，也很開心。

第四種：是最高竿的反應，「不然我幫你湊30元好了，一共是32元，算你30元就好。」

哇，真是高手，原本是要讓老闆佔便宜的，反過來卻讓客戶多買又有佔便宜的感受，更是個「快樂製造機」。

前日傍晚，我逛傳統黃昏市場時，決定玩一下朱先生的遊戲，暫時改了殺價習慣，想創造點快樂給老闆們。我到一家以前常殺價、討斤兩的攤販前，買了157元的青菜，結帳時，剛好聽到菜販老闆說了一個笑話，非常好笑，我非常愉快地說：「老闆，你好幽默，你的笑話很好笑，157元算160元，這裡是160元，不用找了。」老闆笑了，說：「這怎麼可以，不然妳還需要甚麼，我送妳。」老闆便送我一大塊嫩薑。後來到了另一家買甜不辣29元，拿30元給老闆，我說：「阿伯，29元算30元，不用找了。」老闆有點訝異，一時之間反應不過來，還是找了1元給我，我笑笑地把1元還給他，說不用找，他趕緊又多放了一塊甜不辣給我，從他驚訝轉而高興的表情，我知道我做到了。

回家的路上，我嘴角掛著微笑，哼著歌。睡前在日記裡寫下：「算一算，我多花了4元，賺到了甚麼？

1.賺到了好心情；

2.賺到了老闆的笑容；

3.賺到了老闆的謝意；

4.賺到了老闆的友誼；

5.賺到了一塊嫩薑和一塊甜不辣；

6.賺到了愉快的晚餐。」

當我們決心要當個「快樂製造機」時，就會感染對方，形成一個良性的影響，讓更多週遭的人像我們一樣，成為「快樂製造機」。

My Lovely Home

At last our house is consider ready before wedding...Just that it is not lively enough cos we haven't move in yet.

1. This is room for my parent when they visit me in Penang...

2. This is my Master Bed Room, still very empty, can only put on bed sheet during 'Bed Installation' Day.

3. This is the dining area, still looking for suitable dining set. Also looking for some display items for the cabinet..so empty...

4. Living room, my favourite L shape sofa..haha..
I can sit there to read my novel in future...mmm.. so comfortable..

Can't wait to move in to my new house, will upload again when it is complete... :)

Communication

Everyone will have different ways of communication.

Some people very soft spoken;
Some people will be very straight forward;
Some people will be very "po ma";
Some people talk very loud;
Some people don’t like to talk;

People from different family background talks differently.

When we talk, we might talk and try to persuade people from our point of view, yet not everyone can accept it. Everyone will have their own thought & own preferences.

So, not all can get use of the ways others talk. Some people prefer others to be straight forward. Yet, same do me.

But when we are in different mood, we will interpret the information wrongly. We will think that you insist us to follow what you want. We will feel that when you being so straight forward; you are scolding us.

So, no matter what happen, is just misunderstanding...

haih...duno what I'm writing. Just to express my feeling which is up side down...

E-design pre-wedding photo

Haha!!!So happy!

Went to view our pre-wedding photo demo last weekend, the pre-wedding photo design is up to my expected, only a slight amendment needed.

Since I went back to Penang to set up my new house, the designer got no choice but to email to me. They actually can't provide the e-design soft copy to customer. But due to I am away, she needs to email me with no choice..:p

Although just few copies, but I'm very happy & satisfied upon receiving..hehe

3。This is another option for my 床头照,but i decided to take the previous one, as hubby said this one got 2 kissing post.

4. I like this Maroon color gown so much, until I choose this gown for photo shooting as well as to my wedding dinner..haha

I will be going down to the bridal shop this saturday to view; they will only print it when I agreed with the photo..

So excited! At last it is ready..
Hopefully the artwork is up to my expectation!

昨天到一个亲戚的家。。。
家人都对他的家赞不绝口。。因为他是从事建筑行业的。。

而我心里想的都是我的家。。
老公也是从事建筑行业的，家也弄得很漂亮。
老公说，完工了，现在只剩下按灯，窗帘，
爸爸妈妈的房的家私拜六也会送到，然后就能开始摆设了！
摆设后如有缺少什么就得赶快去买

心里对这个家充满满满的期待。。好想快点搬进去

忙！忙到透不过气来！
太多东西做了！

经理级人物，只是会讲而已。。。
方案做出来，老板批准后，就全部交给我了！

包山包海- 就是我的工作。。

忍无可忍！就找我的上司投诉。。
投诉说那不是我的工作。。我是负责协调而已。。。
投诉说我来不及做好自己的本份。。
投诉-我的KPI会不及格。。

还好，他认同我的不满。。
还好，暂时我不用懂这些不属于我的工作。。
还好，他批准我要求多一个助理。。。

还好，我要嫁人了！！

Good Manager?? Good Leader ???

What is the different of a good manager and a good leader???
Is a good manager = a good leader?? Or a good leader = a good manager???

Well... A good manager does not mean that he/she is a good leader. There is a lot of confusion in organizations today about the difference between managing and leading.

A good manager do extremely well at getting things done which are proficiently managing processes, time lines, and resources in order to achieve desired results. A good leader, on the other hand, excels at inspiring people to do their best. Management stress on controlling things and people; leadership emphasizes inspiring and motivating people. Great organizations need great management, but for an organization to truly be great, it always must have great leadership.

So, What make a good leader?
1. A good leader has an exemplary character
2. A good leader is enthusiastic about their work or cause and also about their role as leader
3. A good leader is confident.
4. A leader also needs to function in an orderly and purposeful manner in situations of uncertainty.
5. Good leaders are tolerant of ambiguity and remain calm, composed and steadfast to the main purpose.
6. A good leader, as well as keeping the main goal in focus, is able to think analytically
7. A good leader is committed to excellence.

And, What make a good manager?
1. Priority Management
2. Knowing Your Team
3. Delegation of task & review
4. Motivate your team
5. Accept mistakes & being fair
6. Be a cool head
7. Conduct Meetings & Performance review

And if you already loose your employee confidence, try these:
1. Praise a job well done and offer incentives
2. Never dominate or authoritatively instruct the employee
3. Offer feedback consistently and frequently to employees
4. Offer training and educational opportunities so employees feel they are growing on the job

So, you are a good manager or good leader???

Remember to practice Look, Listen, Lead, Learn, Laugh with your team to succeed in your career.....

Partime JOb

Vicky: " Hey, you wanna buy fruits??? We sell apples and oranges..."
Colleague: " No thanks"
Vicky: " Harlo, you wanna buy apples? 8 for only $5....or maybe oranges? 5 for $6...."
Colleague:"okie..okie...give me 1 packet then.."

I am selling fruits now in my company...because I am the project owner for food fair.
The purpose is to generate more fund for our Sport Club, so that we can have extra budget while planning our yearly activities...

My sales target is to generate another $5K in this year...mmmm....sound possible? or impossible? It seem tough ya!

Well...this is the 2nd weeks we are selling. Sport Club not only selling fruits, but "Tong Sui" as well... It is actually quite tiring. With your own Job Responsibility, at the same time, have to cook tong sui and sell in the pantry..."EVERY FRIDAY"!!!! Gosh.....

In the future, I am going to include Vitagen, Tit Bits....and etc that can generate income.....

How good will it be if the income go into my own pocket....haha...
